Description

This Health and Safety Awareness course is ideal for those starting out or already working in the construction and engineering industries. It offers practical guidance on identifying and managing common site hazards, with a strong focus on protecting yourself and those around you. The course also covers your responsibilities in situations where someone’s health or safety may be at risk.
Certification is valid for five years, after which the course must be retaken to remain compliant.

Duration

1 day (all learners are required to complete the full 7.5 hours for certification).

Examination

The exam includes 25 multiple-choice questions: 20 questions are worth 1 mark each, and 5 are worth 2 marks each. To pass, learners must achieve a minimum score of 25 out of 30 (83%).

Description

Designed for both aspirant and existing building site managers in charge of planning, arranging and monitoring teams on-site, the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course This training stresses the crucial part of risk assessment in daily site operations and the need of good communication in preserving a safe and healthy workplace.
Certification valid for five years. A refresher course has to be finished before the expiry date if one wants to keep it; else, the whole course has to be retaken.

5 day (all learners are required to complete the full 7.5 hours for certification).

Examination

The examination will consist of 25 questions, with 18 multiple-choice questions and 7 questions in short multiple-response format (each being worth 2 marks). Learners are required to get a mark of at least 26/32 (81%) to pass the examination.

Description

This course is intended for individuals who have previously completed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and currently hold a valid SMSTS certificate. It is designed to refresh and update learners' knowledge of health and safety practices, including any recent legislative changes relevant to managing safety on-site.

Duration

2 day (all learners are required to complete the full 15 hours total for their certification).

Examination

The examination consists of 25 questions: 18 are multiple-choice, and 7 are short multiple-response questions, each worth 2 marks. To pass, learners must score at least 26 out of a possible 32 marks (81%).

Description

The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course is ideal for individuals who are taking on, or already hold, supervisory roles within the construction industry. It equips supervisors with essential health and safety knowledge to effectively manage teams on-site.

Certification is valid for five years. To maintain it, a refresher course must be completed before expiry; otherwise, the full course will need to be retaken.

The duration of the course is 3 to 4 hours.

At the end of the course, your knowledge is assessed through a 60-minute multiple-choice exam. You must achieve a minimum score of 80% (32 out of 40) to pass.

After completing your course you will be granted a certificate which has lifetime validity. It is important you keep this certificate to apply for your CSCS Green Card.
